The exhibition will examine the art produced by this modernist artists between the years 1893 and 1945, focusing on the similarities and differences among them as well as their role within the larger American modernist movement. The dates chosen represent the years between the Chicago World's Fair and the end of World War II. The exhibition will include important works by artists such as Charles Burchfield, Manierre Dawson, William Sommer, William Zorach, Clara Deike, Victor Higgins, and Frances Foy.
