Franklin Park Conservatory's signature collection of Dale Chihuly artworks in new configurations and locations along with new work by this world-renowned artist is on view. Originally displayed at the Conservatory in 2003-2004, thousands individual, vibrant hand-blown glass elements are;placed amidst the plant collections, throughout the building, and in indoor and outdoor spaces. Glass artworks, plants and the natural daylight of the Conservatory's glass houses combine for a unique, daytime viewing experience, while the exhibition takes on a different mood under dramatic evening lighting. From August 15 through January 3, a working glass Hot Shop will give visitors an up-close opportunity to see glass being gathered and blown by local, professional gaffers into finished pieces.
